T.A.D Engineering

Est: 1984

T.A.D was first formed in 1984 by Terry Easey and Derek Langford, two friends who decided to go into business together, since then T.A.D has grown into a flourishing family run business.
Since 1984 we have always maintained the same high standard of production in precision sheet metal engineering, delivering high expectations on quality, quantity and price.

Following on from the days of 1984 and good old pen and paper T.A.D has excelled and has been pushed forward into the new age of modern technology and the latest engineering factors to boost our name as a recognised and well established sheet metal engineering firm in Cambridge.

We have new and old methods of the engineering trade using many varieties of machinery which include: two CNC punching machines, two folders, six fly presses, two drills, one milling machine, one lathe, and several other small hand held machines to help us maintain the high standard of work we always aim to achieve.
See the gallery for pictures and descriptions.

We first started off in a small unit in Fen Ditton, Cambridge but as time went by we started to expand, the need for metalwork grew and so did we. We found ourselves needing bigger premises and more staff and so came the move to Toft just on the outskirts of Cambridge. The warehouse is still in toft today, but as time has gone on we needed more room,  the main workshop has been expanded to give us more room, and we have purchased two more units. One is used to get the deliveries and stock processed and the other is used as the weld shop, where all the welding, spot welding, sawing and a little separate room where the grinding is done to clean up the metal.

Derek sadly passed away some years ago and Terry decided to ask his wife Sandra to come into business with him, Sandra knew quite a bit about metal work as she used to work at pulsar with Terry when they were younger that was where Terry met Derek, and Sandra first met Terry.

It was when Terry was working at pulsar, he met Sandra, he used to serenade her across the workshop, they soon became and item, and from then on they were not only a partnership personally but soon to be a partnership professionally.

Since then Terry and Sandra have come on leaps and bounds with T.A.D, they have turned it into an enjoyable place to work, a great company to use, and overall a top notch company!

Sadly Sandra passed away in April 2007 Easter Weekend and will be missed terribly.

We are proud of the work we do, and proud of the company's that supply us and that we supply, we take great pride in offering the best service possible not only professionally but personally as well, we don't just see our customers and suppliers as work, but also as friends.
